For Sunk Loto, album number two is definitely a rebirth. Delivered some three years after their debut Big Picture Lies, the Gold Coast quartet’s sophomore release, ‘Between Birth & Death’, is a mindblowing display of power, a passionate outpouring that is a testament to the virtue of patience. The outside world may have been wondering what Sunk Loto have been doing for the past three years, but the band were never in any doubt… “We were really focused on finding our own unique sound for this record,” explains frontman Jason Brown. “And that meant we had to find something fresh, and then really perfect it. Looking back, we can see how much we’ve changed, because we’ve learnt a lot over the last few years.”
